Vintage 1940s Baby Baptismal Topper & Bonnet--Handmade w/Pearls & Lace Appliques

This is a vintage & beautiful Christening Outfit:  Jacket (or topper) and matching Bonnet.
Vintage Baptismal Outfit from the 1940's.
Size 0--6 months.
It is gorgeous in pictures!
This Baptismal Outfit belonged to a close family friend who had no one to pass it on to!!
Her son wore it and then so did my daughter in the 1980s for some very special baby photos.
It is very pretty to wear over a more plain white garment.
Length from shoulder to hem:  10 inches long.
Chest measures: 18--20 inches.
This beautiful set was handmade by a seamstress for my friend's son.
It has beautiful, delicate applique's and pearls sewn on the front of the topper onto the bonnet.
It can be worn over any other special outfit or even just used as a beautiful outfit for a new baby picture.
The applique's have a couple spots where they are a little loose as do the ties for the bonnet.  They will need a little stitching to secure.
Otherwise this set is in fantastic condition.
Whether for a new baby photo, first visit with family, or a Christening... this is a ONE OF A KIND SET!!
We are thinning out a lot of the treasures we saved for our children that they just do not have room to store for the future in their homes.
It might be a nice for a little one you know and love?!
